Riley

Default Article Image
Riley presented to Best Friends Animal Hospital with hypothyroidism (low thyroid level) and severe pyoderma (skin infection).  He had hair loss, a high fever, and was extremely itchy.  Riley?s caretakers were resolved to see this infection beat and very diligently administered all medications for months.  During this time, Riley developed urinary bladder stones that needed to be surgically removed.  All of his caregiver's dedication and hard work paid off, as you can see in the picture above.  Riley's hair is growing back, he looks healthier, and he feels much better.   Riley?s recovery is a testament to his owner?s diligence in making sure he received his medication every day and their patience knowing that severe skin disease can take months of therapy to achieve results.  We are thrilled to see Riley doing so well.
